NASCAR-CUP NEWS & INFORMATIONS

The NASCAR Cup Series is the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing's premier racing series (NASCAR). The Strictly Stock Division was established in 1949, while the Grand National Division was used from 1950 to 1970. The NASCAR Winston Cup Series (1971–2003) was born in 1971, when the series began leasing its naming rights to the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

The season is split up into two parts. The championship is decided by a points system in which points are granted based on finish position and laps lead. After the first 26 races, 16 drivers are ranked based on their overall number of wins. They are chosen chiefly based on wins during the first 26 races. They compete in the final ten races, where minimal point difference is. This is known as the NASCAR playoffs.

The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series is the 74th season of professional stock car racing in the United States and the 51st for the modern-era Cup Series. The Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum kicked off the season on February 6 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races were held on February 17, and the 64th running of the Daytona 500, the season's first points race, was held on February 20 at Daytona International Speedway.

On August 27, the Coke Zero Sugar 400, also at Daytona, will bring the regular season to a close. The NASCAR playoffs will get off on September 4 with the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway and conclude on November 6 with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway.
